West Coast Travelers Honor The Fallen In Chattanooga
Michael Scott, Team California Softball,"Seeing the community coming together it’s amazing, you are able to share this with everyone throughout the world".
The girls signed a shirt and one of their custom balls and spent more than an hour at the memorial.
They were not the only west coast travelers in the Scenic City Tuesday.
Glenn Shackley, Retired US Army, Washington State Resident,"This is a far different thing than i am used to seeing out there, the way the community comes together and the way everyone supports the military the way the entire United States should".
Shackley visited the Lee Hwy site with Susan Henderson of the Daughter’s of The American Revolution.
"If we don’t learn from the past we are destined to repeat the future".
Three generations of one family came together and also laid flowers off Lee Hwy.
Florenda Young,"We are here just to pay tribute you know to give thanks to those fallen heroes, they gave their lives for us and we appreciate that".
Team California Softball tell us they leave Chattanooga enlightened and are grateful for a life lesson from the Scenic City.
