Whitfield County Sheriff’s Deputies Make Meth Arrest after Car Chase

(WDEF)  The Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit busts a man for selling meth after a high speed chase.
Officials say deputies tried to pull over 38-year-old Eric Lamar Gilbert’s pickup truck.
When they tried to pull him over, officers say he fled.
During the chase Gilbert hit several cars and drove through parking lots attempting to elude officers.
At one point they say Gilbert intentionally rammed a Sheriff’s Office patrol car to get away.
Once they finally stopped him, officers found more than $10,000 worth of meth inside.
Gilbert is being held without bond in the Whitfield County Jail.
He’s charged with possession of Meth, trafficking, hit and run and a slew of other violations.
Gilbert was just released from jail in June for a previous meth conviction.
