Winchester lineman dies restoring power in Texas after Harvey

VICTORIA, Texas (WDEF) – A Winchester, Tennessee native has died in Texas while volunteering for hurricane relief.

22 year old Lachlan Brain was an electrical lineman who joined a team restoring power after the hurricane.

He was working on line near Victoria, Texas (southwest of Houston) on Tuesday morning when he was electrocuted.

Police say he was in a bucket when he came into contact with a live wire.

Thousands of linemen and residents of Texas have posted tributes to Brain on social media, like this one.

“To his family, from Texas, we’re praying for you. This is such a dangerous job, and only the bravest can do it, and that’s what he was. We will keep our front porch light on for him.”
