Woman arrested for premeditated murder following fatal residence fire

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — A woman has been arrested on premeditated murder following a fatal residential fire that happened on January 7, 2026, according to the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO).
On Wednesday, April 29, HCSO Criminal Investigations Unit Detectives took Sharon Wilson into custody following their investigation.
They say it was determined during the investigation that Wilson intentionally set her residence on fire, resulting in the death of her husband, Michael Wilson.
Wilson is being held at the Hamilton County Jail & Detention Center for the following:
• First-Degree Premeditated Murder• Felony Murder• Aggravated Arson
