Woman charged with chemical endangerment for smoking pot while pregnant
GADSDEN, Ala. (AP) – A woman accused of chemical endangerment of a child has been arrested in Alabama.
Etowah County Sheriff Todd Entrekin and Investigator Brandi Fuller told the Gadsden Times on Wednesday that 25-year-old Courtney Taylor Coleman said she illegally smoking marijuana knowing she is pregnant. She also tested positive for using the drug.
Coleman was taken to the Etowah County Detention Center on $10,000 bond for the chemical endangerment warrant.
She must successfully complete a drug treatment program and will be supervised by Etowah Community Corrections upon release.
