Woman found strangled in Chattanooga motel

Chattanooga, Tenn. (WDEF)- Chattanooga police are investigating a homicide after a woman’s body was found strangled in a motel room.

Investigators were called to the Chatt Inn just after noon Thursday.

The body of 34-year-old Jeanette Scholten was found.

The Hamilton County Medical Examiner pathologist found the cause to death as manual strangulation.

The violent crimes bureau of the Chattanooga police are processing leads.

We learned from her Facebook page that she is a line cook at Stir restaurant.
