UPDATE: Woman injured in fast food hold up Tuesday morning

CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) – Chattanooga Police are looking for a man who robbed a Popeyes Tuesday morning.

Officers were called to the restaurant at 8:30 AM this morning, right after the robbery happened.

Police said three employees were in the store when the incident occurred.

A suspect hit one employee in the head with a gun, took money, and fled on foot.

Authorities said they’re looking for a black male, medium height and weight.

He was wearing a black hoodie and a black and white bandana covering his face.

The employee who was struck was checked out on scene by EMS and released.

A person was injured during a robbery Tuesday Morning in the Highway 58 area.

It happened at the Popeyes Restaurant at 4458 Highway 58 around 8 AM.

Chattanooga police say a female was injured and taken to the hospital.

We don’t know yet if the victim was a customer or an employee.

Police are still looking for the suspect who fled the restaurant on foot.

They are using a search dog.

The Popeye’s remains closed at this time.
