Woman killed in overnight house fire in Rising Fawn

RISING FAWN, Georgia (WDEF) – A mother has died in a fire overnight in Dade County.

The fire broke out at the home on Highway 11 in Rising Fawn, Georgia around 1 AM.

Family members tell us it was a grease fire from the stove, but investigators are still determining the cause.

Nine people lived in the home and six were there last night.

26 year old Brandy Hester died in the fire.

Her husband suffered severe burns trying to get her out of the home.

Their two children got out without injuries.

The other members of the family included grandparents and in-laws.
