Woodmore fundraisers and memorial events

CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) – Krystal is partnering with the Woodmore Fund to raise money for the victims of the school bus crash.

The fast food chain will donate a portion of profits from the sale of Steamer Packs at Chattanooga locations for the rest of November.

The Woodmore Fund is a community drive to support the families of crash victims.

“Helping those in need is embedded in Krystal’s core values,” said Chris Jacobs, Chattanooga market leader for The Krystal Company. “With our roots in Chattanooga, we want to help in any way we can to make things just a little bit better,” Jacobs continued.

The Hamilton County PTA Council is sponsoring a Woodmore Day of Caring event on Wednesday, November 30th from 4 PM to 5 PM at the central office board room.

You are encouraged to drop off monetary donations, non-perishables, or comfort items like blankets.

Council president-elect Wayne Brown and others will also lead community fellowship.

Everyone in the county is invited.

The hours are 4-5 PM at the central board office board room.

Residents are organizing a benefit concert for Woodmore Elementary for Sunday.

It will happen from noon to 3PM at Miller Plaza.

“This is an opportunity for Chattanooga to come together and show our support to Woodmore Elementary School. Please bring family and friends to enjoy local musicians and artists coming together to help start the healing from the tragedy.”
