2 arrested after fight and gunfire outside North Georgia Fair

DALTON, Georgia (WDEF) – Police charged two men after a fight Saturday night outside the North Georgia Fair Grounds.

They were called to gunshots fired in the parking lot at 500 Legion Drive.

No one was actually hit by the shots.

Some officers were already there over some illegal parking at the fair when they heard the shots.

The first officer found a group of people arguing.

22 year old Dylan Hall in the group, ran.

They chased, but a female in the group knocked down one of officers.

She started fighting the off duty state trooper and then her cousin began hitting him from behind.

The cousin, 18 year old Gabriel Adams from Cohutta was arrested.

After a long foot chase, officers caught Hall.

When they got it all sorted out, Police say the fight began between an ex-boyfrind and girlfriend, and then family members got involved.

They say Gabriel Adams admitted to firing the shots.

He was charged with aggravated assault, reckless conduct, battery, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, and willful obstruction of law enforcement officers.

Dylan Hall was charged with willful obstruction of law enforcement officers and probation violation.
