Holiday zero tolerance in Bradley County

Bradley County, TN (WDEF) – The Bradley County Sheriff’s Office says they’re continuing an all-out, zero-tolerance effort to make the long July 4 holiday accident and fatality-free.

“It’s common knowledge that impaired driving, whether by drugs or alcohol, leads to death and injury far too often. During the holiday weekend, you can expect to see heavy traffic enforcement on the roads in the form of marked and unmarked patrol vehicles, our motorcycle patrol and more,” Sheriff Eric Watson said, “ safety doesn’t end on the roadways, either, that’s why we’ll be highly visible on area waterways with the BCSO boat patrol.”

The sheriff said his officers will be on the lookout for drunk or impaired drivers.

He said they’re not going to put up with irresponsible behavior.

He also said,  “Have fun this July 4 weekend…enjoy family and friends. Just do so with common sense in mind. Please don’t ruin a happy holiday weekend with a trip to jail or worse, someone losing their life at your expense.”
