Two killed in a multi-vehicle crash on N Moore Road
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) – Two people were killed in a DUI related crash on Wednesday afternoon.
At around 3:30 P.M., CPD officers arrived at the 600 block of North Moore Road for a multi-vehicle crash.
Preliminary findings indicated that an Infiniti QX60 was traveling north on North Moore Road when a Hyundai Tucson turned left onto the roadway from Golfview Drive. The Infiniti then struck the Tucson, which pushed both vehicles onto the southbound side of North Moore Road.
The driver of the Hyundai was a 54-year-old male and had a 55-year-old female passenger. They were transported to the hospital, where they were pronounced deceased.
The driver of the Infiniti, 28-year-old Tai-Rique Floyd, was arrested.
Floyd is charged with two counts of vehicular homicide by intoxication, DUI, and other traffic violations.
