Chattanooga Police chaplain arrested for aggravated assault

Former Chattanooga Police chaplain, Gregory Collins, has been arrested for domestic assault following an incident on April 2, 2026.

According to an affidavit, Gregory Collins’ wife reported Collins had been making threats toward her and he thought she was involved with another man.

This comes as the couple was experiencing marital issues, the affidavit describes.

Collins’ wife presented a video of Collins holding a knife and instructing her not to speak about a certain situation. She says she was in fear of her life.

At that time, a warrant was placed for Domestic Aggravated Assault.
