Animal abuse suspect Stephen Kinder shoots himself

CLEVELAND, Tennessee (WDEF) – We’ve learned the man charged with multiple accounts of animal cruelty in Cleveland, has shot himself.

Cleveland Police say that Stephen Kinder did commit suicide in his car here at the American Legion not far from his dog training facility near Cleveland state.

The shooting happened around 12:30 this afternoon.

Kinder was transported to Tennova Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Police were on scene this afternoon collecting evidence.

Kinder was facing at least five counts of cruelty to animals charges after accusations came flooding in earlier this week.

Numerous pet owners from around the Tennessee Valley claim they picked their dogs up from Kinder’s care severely underweight, and covered in urine, feces and sores.

Attorney Jeremy Jones says while the situation is sad, his $6,000 suit will continue. The filing names Mrs. Morgan Kinder, Stephen’s wife, in the suit.
