Bradley Co. Sheriff Seeking Re-Election
BRADLEY COUNTY, Tenn. (WDEF) — Bradley County Sheriff Steve Lawson wants to keep his job as sheriff awhile longer.
He announced Saturday he’s running for re-election in the May 3 Republican primary.
Lawson was elected in 2018.
He calls his time as sheriff the greatest honor of his professional career.
“I believe that we have accomplished many of the goals laid out during my initial campaign, but there is still work to do,” Lawson said. “I believe we have unfinished business within our agency to address in the future to preserve public safety in Bradley County and to better serve the people of this community.”
Before he became sheriff, Lawson served in six different administrations within the department in different roles – from patrol officer to investigator.
