Cash Canyon Road closed by truck over the rails

HAMILTON COUNTY, Tennessee (WDEF) – The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office has shut down a road along the Tennessee River because of a crash.

A semi-truck has overturned in the 1700 block of Cash Canyon Road on gone over the railing.

No one was hurt in the wreck.

But residents along the road on the western bank of the river are cut off from their homes until they can clear the scene.

It could take several hours.

The crash site is just outside of Lookout Valley.

The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office has temporarily closed Cash Canyon Road beginning at the 1700 block due to an overturned semi-truck that has gone over the railing.

 

Fortunately, no injuries were reported.

 

Residents who live on Cash Canyon Road from the 1700 block to the top should be prepared for the roadway to be closed for several hours while crews remove the damaged semi-truck.
