CFC Win Home Opener Against Reading United on Penalty Kicks

Chattanooga-(WDEF) The CFC hung on to beat Reading United 4-1 on penalty kicks on Wednesday night in a U.S. Open Cup match at ‘Fort Finley’.
Chattanooga had plenty of shots on goal during regulation, but they couldn’t convert.
Neither team scored in regulation or two 15-minute overtime periods.
The CFC played without starting goalie Gregor Hartley, who was out with an illness.
With the win, the CFC improve to 2-0 on the year.
They advance in the U.S. Open Cup, where they will entertain the City Islanders in the third round on June 1st.
Chattanooga will be back home on Saturday as they jump back into NPSL play against Nashville FC.
