Chattanooga man held on $205,000 bond for reportedly shooting at his ex-girlfriend

CHATTANOOGA, Tennessee(WDEF) – Police arrest a man who is accused of firing multiple shots at his ex-girlfriend.

Kevin Halfacre, 36, of Chattanooga is facing attempted first degree murder, assault and reckless endangerment charges.

According to police, officer were called to a residence in the 4100 block of Wilalrd Drive early Sunday morning regarding several calls about shots being fired.

Halfacre’s ex-girlfriend informed police that he fire several shots at her.

According to the arrest affidavit, several neighbors also told police they heard multiple gunshots before officers arrived on scene.

The alleged victim told police that Halfacre arrived at her apartment around 2AM and that he was intoxicated and bleeding heavily from an earlier altercation. She also said she assisted him with his injures but at some point, he became angry and said he was going to get his gun and come back.

The victim along with her son and current boyfriend reportedly left the residence but when she came back, she said Halfacre pulled up in a car and fired several shots at her.

The victim didn’t suffer any injures but told police she was in fear for her life.

Halfacre is being held on a $205,000 bond.
