Chattanooga police arrest suspect in Tuesday shooting

CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) – Chattanooga Police have arrested a suspect for one of the rash of shootings this week.

This one involved a robbery around 2 AM on Tuesday on East 36th Street.

Investigators say the shooter and victim got into a struggle during the robbery.

The victim suffered one, non-life-threatening wound.

Chattanooga Police entered a room at the King’s Lodge on Westside Driver before ten this morning.

Garaek LopopoloThey arrested Garaek Lopopolo for the Tuesday shooting.

Police tell us he put up a struggle when they took him into custody.

They also took a woman at the scene into custody.
