Chattanooga Police Department Takes Part In Fundraiser
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn.(WDEF)- Now that No Shave November is finally over, it’s time to get rid of all that facial hair.
This morning at Erlanger, Chattanooga police officers who grew beards during November, all got a shave.
And it was for a good cause.
More than 100 CPD officers participated in No Shave November as part as a campaign to bring awareness to men’s health.
It was also a fundraising opportunity for the entire police force with donations benefiting Erlanger Cancer Services.
“It’s a reflection of what our department, this communities department does. The selfless support and sacrifice and serice that they show. It just felt like a natural exhibition for these officers to show the community that not only do we support through our daily interaction, what we do as law enforcement, but any other opportunity that comes around, officers are more than willing to do that,” said David Roddy who is the Assistant CPD Chief.
Chattanooga police who took part in No Shave November raised more than $4,600.
