UPDATE: Chattanooga Police investigate shooting on W. 37th Street

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) – We have an update on the shooting on West 37th Street, where Chattanooga police say two people were transported to the hospital for gunshot wounds.

35-year-old Theresa Farris Greene and 31-year-old Corey Thompson were the victims.

Officers believe it may be motivated by drugs.

One resident says he lived at the Stone Ridge Park Apartment complex with his family. He says he recently moved out to Georgia because of the increase in shootings.

The injuries are non-life threatening. Police are still looking for the suspect.


CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. – The Chattanooga Police Department is investigating a shooting on West 37th Street. It was called into dispatch just before 2 am Monday.

Dispatch says that the shooting happened in the stairway of the Stone Ridge Park Apartment complex. Dispatch says that the person who called 911 said that two people were shot.
