Chattanooga Police investigating pregnant woman shot

CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) – Chattanooga Police are actively investigating a shooting of a pregnant woman on Arlington Avenue.

Police responded to the 1500 block of Arlington avenue just after nine Monday night. At the scene police located one victim, Sharia Reynolds, 24, suffering from a gunshot wound to the leg.

The victim was treated by HCEMS and transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police are looking for a silver Jeep Liberty they believe to be the suspect vehicle.

While police were at that scene, more shots rang out in a nearby neighborhood. Police arrested one man at Shaw and Roanoke Avenue. During that arrest, two more calls came in of shots fired in different locations.

Police say they are treating these as being related to the other gang-related shootings in the area over the last several day and the Chattanooga Violent Crimes Bureau Investigators will continue to follow all actionable leads.
