Coahulla Creek High School is raising money for its first mascot
"All the great schools and colleges, they all have a sports teams and they’re really fun at all the sporting events," said senior, Max Wilson.
The school is just five years old, and Wilson said he was sitting at a football game when he realized there was one important thing missing.
"And he said, ‘Hey Ms. Douglas, you know we really need a mascot’," said Spanish teacher, and sponsor of the pep club, Kristen Douglas, "What better way to increase school spirit then to have a mascot at the pep rallies, at all the games?"
The high school’s pep squad is selling long-sleeve shirts for 15-dollars each, to raise money for the suit, but they still need a little help.
"We’ve only sold around 60, and the sale ends on Friday. So we have a ways to go to get to 150, but it’s totally possible. Nothing is impossible!" said Douglas.
The t-shirts come in all sizes, and to purchase one click on the related link.
