Coker Museum to reopen Saturday, May 15th

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn (WDEF) – As Covid restrictions begin to loosen, one local business is preparing to reopen their doors to the public this weekend.

The Coker museum and venue offers a unique take on Chattanooga’s history.

The museum is loaded with vintage cars, hot rods, motorcycles, trucks, buses , and even airplanes.

The Coker Museum on Chestnut street will reopen their business for the first time since December.

“It was a difficult thing to continue to make payroll when the income is down. We need to be bold now. Let’s make sure we get everything back to business, let’s get people back downtown, let’s get people out to movie theatres and come to venues. Start doing stuff and you need to get vaccinated too,” says Corky Coker.

The reopening event is from 8am -2pm on Saturday and Admission is free this Saturday only. Car collectors are encouraged to bring and show off  their hot rods during the event.
