Emily’s List of Weekend Activities – January 13, 2017

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) — There’s a lot to do in Chattanooga, and in nearby cities this weekend.

You can spend some time downtown Saturday night for Winter in West Village.

Check out food trucks, live local bands, plus a laser light show.

Activities start at 6 p.m., with the last laser show at 8 p.m.

This weekend is your last chance to see the popular Broadway hit, Jersey Boys, in Nashville this year.

The Tennessee Performing Arts Center is putting on the show at Andrew Jackson Hall.

Performances are at 2 and 8 p.m., Saturday, and 1 and 6:30 p.m., Sunday.

Another Broadway show option is the Disney classic, The Lion King, with performances in Atlanta.

See this Disney movie come to life with colorful sets and costumes, plus the Oscar-winning song “Can You Feel The Love Tonight,” and “Circle of Life.”

The show is at 2 and 8 p.m., Saturday, and 1 and 6:30 p.m., Sunday, at the Fox Theatre.

Back here in the Scenic City, you get a chance to see the Chattanooga Symphony and Opera perform in a smaller, more intimate venue.

They’ll be performing music by Mozart and Schubert as part of its Chamber Series.

Songs include Mozart’s Horn Concerto No. 4, and Schubert’s Symphony No. 6.

The concert starts at 3 p.m., Sunday, at Chattanooga State Community College’s Humanities Theatre.
