Emily’s List of Weekend Activities – September 15, 2017
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) — There’s a lot to do in Chattanooga, and in nearby cities this weekend.
If you have a green thumb, Crabtree Farms is holding a plant sale and festival on Saturday.
At this 15th annual event, you can shop sustainably grown fruits, vegetables and herb plants.
Local gardeners will be on-hand to answer any questions.
There will also be classes you can take, plus activities for the kids.
The event is from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Crabtree Farms in Chattanooga.
If you watch HGTV, you’re probably familiar with twin brothers Jonathan and Drew Scott.
They find and transform ordinary houses into dream homes on their show, “Property Brothers.”
They’ll be at the Knoxville Civic Auditorium Saturday night.
Their “House Party” starts at 7:30 p.m.
If you decide to head to Knoxville earlier in the day, the 38th Annual Greek Festival is happening all afternoon Saturday and Sunday.
Enjoy authentic Greek food and pastries, plus enjoy live Greek music, dancing, and shopping.
The festival is from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., Sunday, at the St. George Greek Orthodox Church.
And if you’re a foodie, you’ll want to be at the First Tennessee Pavilion on Sunday for the Cast Iron Cook-off.
Local chefs will battle it out for the best cast iron dishes, using fresh ingredients from the Chattanooga Market.
The event is from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
