Fundraiser Held for Family of Shooting Victim

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) – The Chattanooga Rugby Club is honoring the memory of one of their brothers who was killed in a Polk County shooting, MaKlain Lawson.

His friends with the Chattanooga Rugby club came together to raise money for his family.

Kyle Hudson, Lawson’s former coach and trainer at Crossfit Anistemi says, “He left behind a hundred brothers. There were a lot of people who really loved him and we hate that he happened… We are glad that suspects had been apprehended so that means hopefully justice will be served. But it doesn’t change anything, it is still a tragedy if there is any way in the future that we can help beyond what we are going right now we are more than happy to. So don’t be afraid to reach out.”

Three young people are charged with felony murder in connection with a fatal shooting of MaKlain Lawson.
