Hamilton County will Recycle Your Christmas Trees for Mulch

Hamilton County, TN (WDEF): Now that the holidays are over, it’s time to get rid of the Christmas tree.
Before throwing it out on the curb, there’s an even better option.
Hamilton County Government will be recycling real, Christmas trees to grind them into mulch.
The mulch will then be available for the public to use at no cost to them.
There are five recycling centers throughout Hamilton County.
Mike Dunne, Communications Manager for Hamilton County says, “The mulch is free. All you have to do is go to our Standifer Gap address Monday through Thursday. We’ll let you take as much as you can first come first serve. If you’re gonna have a really large load, we ask that you call before.”
Last day to recycle your tree is January 31st.
