House fire causes $25,000 dollars in damages

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) – A fire at a home on 12th avenue caused $25,000 dollars in damages.

The Chattanooga Fire Department got called out to 2418 12th just after 9 p.m.

Crews found heavy smoke coming from the rear of the home.

Firefighters made an aggressive interior attack and had the fire under control in roughly 20 minutes.

All of the people inside made it out safely.

The local Red Cross Chapter is helping them.

The cause is under investigation.
