Investigators asking for tips on man found shot at home in LaFayette

LAFAYETTE, Georgia (WDEF) – The Walker County Sheriff’s Office and GBI are investigating a homicide case near LaFayette.

44 year old James William Wimbley was found dead in his home at 1846 E Highway 136. around 11 AM on Wednesday.

Investigators say he had suffered a single gunshot wound.

They believe he was killed sometime after 11 PM the night before.
