Investigators have leads in Etowah vandalism case

ETOWAH, Tenn. (WDEF) – McMinn County Sheriff Joe Guy says his investigators have gotten leads through social media posts on a vandalism spree Sunday night in Etowah.

A grave stone at Etowah Cemetery was spray painted, along with a sign for Pleasant Grove Church.

Sheriff Guy says that Deputy Burt Jenkins was able to remove most of the paint from the grave stone.

And the church has painted over the sign.

The Sheriff is still asking the public for any information on the two cases to call the McMinn County Sheriff’s Department.
