Investiture for Travis McDonough as Newest U.S. District Judge for Eastern Tennessee

Chattanooga attorney Travis McDonough today officially became a Federal Judge for the Eastern District of Tennessee.
A ceremony was held this afternoon at the Theatre Center.
McDonough has already been serving in that role.
He is a former staff member of Mayor Andy Berke’s administration.
He’s a long-time Chattanoogan who was nominated by the President last year.

I was speechless, I couldn’t respond ..I just sat there without being able to talk so in a minute…Senator Corker said, are you sure they have not called you yet?. Laughter .” >
US. SENATOR BOB CORKER “I’m just glad we have somebody of his integrity and character and concern for others that’s going to be serving in that position.”
McDonough is one of 8 U.S. District Judges in our area.
