Junior League of Chattanooga Hosts Annual Kids in the Kitchen Event
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) – Hundreds of local little ones are learning how to live a healthy and active lifestyle this weekend with Kids in the Kitchen.
For the 8th year in a row, the Junior League of Chattanooga (JLC) hosted the event at the Highland Parks Commons. It was a free, family focused event to promote getting active.
“I think that people like to see other people being active,” said Stacey Prentice, with JLC, “We’re just trying to tell people that exercise is fun, and eating good food and making healthy choices can benefit the whole family.”
The event also offered a bounce house, face painting, dancing and so much more. Kids in the Kitchen was started to address the various problems associated with childhood obesity and poor nutrition.
