Kamara likes Pruitt’s mindset on Rocky Top

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) — Former Vols star running back Alvin Kamara has known the Vols new head coach Jeremy Pruitt for years.

Though on the defensive side of the sideline, Coach Pruitt helped recruit Kamara to Alabama in 2012.

And just like AK, Pruitt has now come north to Rocky Top, and the NFL’s Offensive Rookie of the Year thinks its a great move for his alma mater.

“Just his mindset and his ability to relate to players. He knows how to get the most out of his players. And I think they understand that, and they understand why he’s doing things and you know, that it’s coming out of care and not just because so I think he’s doing a good job,” Kamara said.

We’ll have to wait and see *how good a job Pruitt is doing. Vols season starts Sept. 1 at 3:30 p.m. in Charlotte. Big Orange plays the Mountaineers of the University of West Virginia. Coverage right here on News 12.
