Kane Brown Concert Kicks of Wave of Events at Finley Stadium

For two years, the COVID-19 pandemic has slowed down business at Finley Stadium.

But that’s about to change.

“We have 177 contracted events for 2022 for Finley Stadium,” said Lauren Cavitt, Assistant Director of Chattanooga Market.

As COVID cases decline and vendors renew interest, Finley is ramping up use of the facility in a big way, hosting a concert for Chattanooga native Kane Brown.

Brown is the first major artist to play the venue in over a decade, and Finley’s Board of Directors has made a goal of continuing to host concerts of this scale.

“This is a stated goal of our board, and we’re happy to host large concerts as a regular part of Finley Stadium’s offering to the community, moving forward.”

Prior to the Kane Brown concert, $200,000 will be allocated for repairs.

“Those repairs are going to be in line with getting ready for the Kane Brown concert, so — electrical upgrades, food and beverage, homeland security, and some basic upkeep.”

In addition to live music, Finley is also hosting numerous sporting events.

“As far as football goes, we have UTC returning for their 2022 season in the fall. Their first home game will be in September. They do have their spring game, which will be in April, here. And we’re hoping that we’re going to be hosting their playoffs, this year.”

With nearly 200 events and a big name artist, Finley stadium is ready to draw in big crowds in 2022.
