LaFayette High JROTC rifle competition

LAFAYETTE, Georgia (WDEF) – LaFayette High School is taking aim at a state record.

The JROTC team recently competed in the Georgia High School Association State Rifle Match.

The school ended up with two shooters in the top 10 in the entire state.

Teachers say the rifle program at LaFayette High School teaches the cadets safety marksmanship, and mental management.

The cadets take part in competitions across the state of Georgia and across the United States.
