Looking ahead to March 7, 2016 – Slow Poke Bill, Jimmy Carter, & Chattanooga Mocs Basketball

(WDEF)  Later today, the Tennessee State House will vote on the “Slow Poke” bill. It would prohibit vehicles from being in the left lane of interstates and highways with three or more lanes, except for passing. A violation would be a Class-C misdemeanor, punishable by a fine of $50.

A spokeswoman for Jimmy Carter says the former president does not need further treatment for cancer. Carter shared the good news with those attending one of his regular Sunday school lessons at church. Carter revealed in August that he had been diagnosed with melanoma… But a scan in December found no sign of cancer on his brain.

The Chattanooga Mocs are one win away from making their eleventh trip to the NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament. The Mocs can punch their ticket to join March Madness by winning the Southern Conference tonight. Chattanooga takes on ETSU tonight at 9:00pm. ESPN2 will carry the game.
