Lookouts Play Like Superheroes in Beating Barons on Superhero Night

(lookouts.com) CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (AP) — Jonathan Rodriguez homered and had three hits, and Fernando Romero struck out nine hitters over five innings as the Chattanooga Lookouts defeated the Birmingham Barons 7-2 on Friday.

Romero (10-6) picked up the win after he walked one while allowing one run and three hits.

Chattanooga got on the board first in the third inning, scoring on a solo home run by Rodriguez.

After Chattanooga added two runs in the fourth, the Barons cut into the deficit in the fifth inning when Jose Vinicio hit an RBI single, scoring Brett Austin.

The Lookouts later added a run in the fifth and three in the sixth. In the fifth, Ryan Walker hit an RBI single, while T.J. White hit a bases-clearing triple in the sixth.

Spencer Adams (7-10) went four innings, allowing four runs and seven hits in the Southern League game. He also struck out three and walked two.
