Man arrested in 2 overnight deaths in Alabama
HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (AP) – Two women have been shot to death at two different homes in Huntsville, Alabama, and a man has been arrested in connection with both overnight killings.
WHNT-TV in Huntsville says authorities called to a mobile home park Monday night found the first victim with a gunshot wound to the head.
She died later at Huntsville Hospital.
The second victim was found at a house about half a block away early Tuesday.
WHNT reports that police say 27-year-old Otis Preston Mayes into custody and charged with two counts of capital murder.
The victims have not been identified.
Both were described by police as elderly women.
The motive for the shootings is not known.
