Man captured after escaping from prison infirmary 48 years ago

ATLANTA (CBS46) – Police have finally captured a man that escaped from a prison infirmary more than 48 years ago.

Robert Stackowitz escaped from the infirmary at the Carroll County Prison Work Camp on Aug. 22, 1968.

He was serving a 17-year sentence at the camp, located southwest of Atlanta, for robbery by force, according to police.
