Missing person rescued on Aetna Mountain

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) – Several area crews responded to a call for a missing person early Saturday morning on Aetna Mountain.

At around 2:30 a.m it was reported a person was missing in the woods of Aetna Mountain.

The Chattanooga Fire Department requested assistance from several other agencies including Hamilton County STARS, Mowbray Mountain, Waldens Ridge, and Dallas Bay search and rescue teams.

It was determined the missing party had been riding an ATV in the woods that broke down.

They abandoned the vehicle and walked to find help but ended up lost.

They were located at 11:30 a.m this morning and were rescued without injury.
