More than $77,000 worth of Meth seized in Dekalb County

COLLINSVILLE, Alabama – (WDEF) A one year investigation into illegal drugs has landed four people in the Dekalb County jail.

Serena Maria Laundis, 26, LC Waller, 31, Felicia Diane Martinez, 29, and John Kelcey Whisenant, 24, were arrested and charged with illegal drug trafficking. (Suspect Mugshots are in the Slideshow)

It happened at a residence inside the Frog Pond mobile home park on County Road 51.

According to Dekalb County Sheriff Jimmy Harris,  the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office, DeKalb County Drug Task Force, Fort Payne Police Department, Marshall County Sheriff’s Office, Marshall County Drug Enforcement Unit, Federal Bureau Investigation, Drug Enforcement Administration, FBI North Alabama Safe Streets Task Force, Albertville Police Narcotics, Alabama State Fire Marshal, and Collinsville Police Department execute a search warrant at that home.

They reportedly found about 2 pounds of Methamphetamine, with a street value of about $77,760.00 and $2265.00 in cash that was seized.

According to law enforcement, this is the second time a search warrant has been executed in the last 3 weeks at the same residence.

The investigation on the Drug supply line is still ongoing.

"All agencies involved did a great job on this investigation and we have made a dent in the Drug supply line," Sheriff Harris said.
