New England Patriots Sign Former Mocs Defensive End Keionta Davis to Free Agent Deal

The reigning Super Bowl champion New England Patriots have signed former Chattanooga Mocs defensive end to a free agent contract.
Davis was thought to be a draft pick last spring, but teams passed on him because of a bulging disc in his neck.
But now the Patriots have signed Davis where they hope he can develop into a pass rushing threat.
A two-time All-American, Davis was the 2016 Southern Conference Defensive Player of the Year. He led the SoCon with 10.5 sacks and finished ninth in the voting for the Buck Buchanan Award. His 31.0 career sacks are second all-time at UTC behind former teammate and All-American David Tull (39.5).
