New threat Friday morning at Ooltewah High School

UPDATE: OOLTEWAH (WDEF)- A juvenile female student was arrested for writing a threat on a bathroom wall at Ooltewah High School Friday morning.

The female student was charged with false reporting, four counts of simple assault and disorderly conduct.

Previous Story- Another threat has popped up at Ooletwah High School.

A student shot a picture of the message scrawled in a restroom at the school this morning, and it is all over social media.

School officials say the person who left the threat has been caught and admitted it was a hoax.

Ooltewah officials have notified students of the situation.

This is the third anonymous threat of violence at the school.

Hamilton County Sheriff’s investigators determined the last ones were hoaxes.

But there was additional security at the school on Tuesday when the last shooting was threatened, and a majority of students stayed home.

Message from Ooltewah to parents:


Today, Friday, March 4th, we regretfully had another threatening message written on the restroom wall. We immediately notified law enforcement and they began an investigation. We are pleased to tell you that the person responsible for today’s incident has been identified.
The person who made the threat is being dealt with by the authorities and will be disciplined by the school. In the statement made today to authorities, by the person making the threat, they assured us the threat was not real and was a hoax. Rest assured the safety of our students is our top priority and our students are safe and well at Ooltewah High School today.
