NFL awards 2019 Super Bowl to Atlanta
CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) – After deliberation, the NFL has awarded the 2019 Super Bowl to Atlanta.
NFL owners voted Tuesday to determine the cities that will host Super Bowls in the years 2019, 2020 and 2021.
Atlanta last hosted Super Bowl XXXIV in 2000 when the St. Louis Rams beat the Tennessee Titans 23-16.
The city also hosted Superbowl XXVIII in 1994, a game that saw the Dallas Cowboys defeat the Buffalo Bills 30-13.
Super Bowl LIII will be played at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in 2019, the venue that will replace the Georgia Dome upon its completion.
