Police identify victim in cemetery double homicide case

CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) – One of the victims in the Highland Memorial Gardens double homicide case was arrested earlier this year.

Police have identified one of the bodies found on Tuesday as 20-year-old Thomas Holder.

The other victim was a 17-year-old male who will not be identified because of his juvenile status.

Holder was last arrested in January on several parole violations.

Investigators now say they are considering this case a “Gang Motivated Incident.”

Police are not saying yet whether the pair were actually shot at the cemetery on Shepherd Road.

Former city councilman Manny Rico discovered the bodies on Tuesday as he was inspecting headstones as part of his business.
