Rally and Prayer for the Smoke House Family
MONTEAGLE, Tenn. (WDEF)- Community members and employees gathered for a rally and prayer service to support the Smoke House family.
Tuesday Night, Jim Oliver’s Smoke House in Monteagle caught fire and was destroyed.
Saturday’s event included musical acts and everyone in attendance celebrated the iconic restaurant and antique shop in Monteagle, Tennessee.
The staple is so popular, visitors from Wisconsin drove down to grab a meal but unfortunately discovered that the barbecue spot is no more.
“We’re coming from Stevens Point, Wisconsin” said the visitors. “We left yesterday and this is one of our pit stops before we head to Florida and when we come back, we stop here again. A lot of times we stay at the hotel here. 44 years and this is just devastating to us. We’ve come man many years.
Jim Oliver’s Smoke House fully intends to rebuild.
