Red Bank gears up for the new school year
RED BANK, Tenn. (WDEF) — In Red Bank, the community came together for a back to school event.
Northside Neighborhood House partnered with local nonprofits, school officials and churches to make this happen.
In addition to activities and food, families of Red Bank students could also go ahead and register their kids for school.
The event was successful – at least 250 kids registered today.
“The goal is just to really continue to build our red bank school community, but also to provide some support for families. So many families struggle to registration especially families that have students at multiple locations at the elementary, middle and high school and so we wanted to make it easy for them. So they wouldn’t have to miss work we’re doing it on this beautiful Saturday afternoon and morning and also so that they could register everyone at one location,” said Rachel Gammon, CEO of the Northside Neighborhood House.
This was the first time this event was held.
Red Bank students can still register on Monday. School starts back on Thursday.
