Red Bank hires Robert Simpson as new police chief

RED BANK, Tennessee (WDEF) – Red Bank has chosen a new police chief to replace Tim Christol.

The new chief will be Robert Simpson.

He spent 28 years working for the Chattanooga Police Department before retiring.

Most recently, Simpson was the chief in South Pittsburg.

He was fired from that job in January.

“Robert Simpson has demonstrated outstanding leadership skills, ingenuity in developing programs, and has been task oriented in his prior roles. He is an excellent, experienced law enforcement professional,” says City Manager Randall Smith.
