Rossville business fire under investigation

ROSSVILLE, Ga. (WDEF) — A Rossville business is destroyed after a large fire Sunday night.

It happened at DeFur’s Automotive on Hooker Road. Firefighters worked late Sunday night and early Morning morning to put out the fire. There were some hot spots they had to come back and put out.

Dakota Anderson, who lives across from DeFur’s Automotive, was nervous that the flames would spread to his home.

“I got worried about my dog, because I thought it was going to spread over to my house. So I ran over to the house and I grabbed my dog. I was pouring sweat, in my house and I knew my dog was going to be sweating too, because it was hot in here. So I got my dog, came over here, went over there to my friends, next door neighbors,” said Dakota Anderson.

The cause of the fire is under investigation. Officials say at this time it doesn’t appear to be suspicious.
